SAFIYA TROUSERS

On Saturday we visited our local heritage railway and I wore my Tilly and the Buttons Safiya trousers. They are made in a viscose fabric and were incredibly cool and comfortable on such a warm day. I actually made them last year but when I tried them on I wasn’t sure they suited me. Fast forward to this summer and I’ve found myself reaching for them all the time. Safe to say, I’ll definitely be making another pair (or two)!

WHAT I'M SEWING

I'm currently working on a toile of the Atelier Scämmit Archipel top. I love that it is lined so I can make it in the Palm Tree Cotton Broderie Anglaise by Fabric Godmother along with the the matching lining fabric. I've been wearing a ready to wear top in broderie anglaise this week and my 6 year old asked why my top had holes in it and then pointed out that he could see my tummy which he thought was quite amusing!

Do you make toiles or go straight in with your chosen fabric?

NEW SPARKLY SEQUIN FABRIC
