Samantha's Simple Sew Charlotte Dress

Samantha's Simple Sew Charlotte Dress

Hi everyone, Samantha (@theruralsewist) here with my latest autumnal make for the Sew Sew Sew Blog. I wanted to make a dress for a Christening at the end of October and when I saw that Katie had this fabric in stock I knew that it was the perfect fabric for the dress I had in mind and perfect for this season. The Christening I attended was at Bolton Abbey Priory, near Skipton, on a beautiful day which also meant I had an amazing back drop for my blog post photographs – hope you agree. Holly's Autumn Mustard Romy

Holly's Autumn Mustard Romy

That bow. Isn't it just the cutest? A small detail that instantly elevates a simple jersey dress into an interesting, fun and modern look, perfect for many an occasion. The Romy top and dress pattern by Tilly and the Buttons was released back in the Summer and wasn't one that I instantly purchased (somewhat unusually), but the more versions that I saw pop up online, the more I fell in love it - and I knew I needed one in my Autumn wardrobe this year! Amanda's Nina Lee Camden Pinafore

Hi Everyone, My name is Amanda (aka I Sew A Lot) and was super excited when the lovely Katie got in touch to ask if I would be interested in writing a guest blog post.  I have followed @sewsewsewuk for some time on Instagram and purchased fabrics in the past which have always been beautiful. Sally's Hey June Lucerne Blouse

Hi! I’m Sally aka The Yorkshire Sewist and today I’ll be showing you what I made with this beautiful Lady McElroy Moorside Array Viscose Crepe in Teal, of which Katie kindly gifted to me. The fabric washed really well on a 30 degree wash and yes it does crinkle but nothing that a good iron won’t sort out. I decided to make a blouse for a change! Yes, you probably know by my Instagram posts that I do mainly make dresses but I thought I would make the Hey June Lucerne Blouse as I love the tie detail sleeves on...

Maria's Charlie Caftan

Maria's Charlie Caftan

The pattern comes as paper and PDF pattern from Closet Case Patterns. I have had the PDF for a while and this is my fourth dress. I have made two short versions and two maxi. The Charlie Caftan is a woven, v-neck loose fitted dress with optional thin waist ties and the biggest inseam pockets ever! The pattern comes with three different versions. The sleeves are grown-on kimono-style and come in two versions. For my last maxi dress version, Katie gifted me this lovely Viscose Crepe. The fabric has gorgeous bright tropical floral print on a black background. The crepe...
