The Weekly Stitch: 25/06/2025 - Roundup Of Last Week
SUMMER WARDROBE
What a lovely week of weather we have had! It’s been great to wear some of my summer wardrobe and enjoy the sunshine. It’s been a week of ice lollies, water fights in the garden, and staying up a bit too late waiting for it to cool down enough to sleep. I hope you have had a good week too.
WHAT I'M SEWING
I'm still toile-ing! The first Atelier Scämmit Archipel toile I made was too big around the arms and bust, so I have made another toile a size smaller at the bust and graded out to the next size at the waist which fits me much better. I have also washed the broderie anglaise and lining fabric so hopefully I will be able to cut that out this week and make a start sewing it up.
I also made a toile of the Ashton top by Helen's Closet. I made a straight size 10 but it gapes around the armholes and is a little big overall so I'm going to try another one a size smaller. Have you made the Ashton Top before? Let me know if you have any tips for me.
I'm so glad I decided to test the fit of both of these tops before cutting into my actual fabrics!
