Emma's Closet Core Patterns Charlie Caftan Dress

Hi there fellow fabric lovers! I’m Emma (@sewemiesew on Instagram) and I LOVE sewing! Mostly for me if I’m honest (am I allowed to say that?!) and often for my two young boys but never for my hubby (he’s way too picky!)  So when the lovely Katie from sewsewsew asked me if I wanted to write a guest blog post with a bit of free fabric thrown in … it was a no brainer!     The Fabric Even though I love having a good feel of fabric in a shop, you can’t beat a reliable online fabric company like...

Catherine's Summer Trousers

Catherine's Summer Trousers

Hi everyone and welcome to my first blog post for Sew Sew Sew. I started sewing two years ago and made my first dress around 3 months after I started. I found the pattern first and then searched and searched for the fabric and I came across this lovely shop. When checking out Katie’s site I definitely had some kind of summer dress in mind with a vague plan for a...

Made By Jacks Mum Adventurer Raglan Sweatshirt

Made By Jacks Mum Adventurer Raglan Sweatshirt

When this Dinosaur Brushed Back Sweatshirt by Stof Fabrics arrived I couldn't wait to sew it up into something for my boys. Made by Jacks Mum do a fantastic selection of childrens patterns and the Adventurer Raglan Sweatshirt was perfect for this fabric. I used plain black ribbing for the neckband, waistband and cuffs.  I cut out an Age 3 and an Age 5. One of the great things about MBJM pdf patterns is that you can turn off the layers for the sizes that you are not going to sew which makes sticking together and cutting out the pieces much...
